Cyclone Nargis hit us - Cont.

Back from a week-long trip.
As being one and only Burmese in the whole company, almost everyone expected Mr. YL to update them what is going on in Burma (post cyclone news). The truth was Mr. YL knew nothing much more than what the news mentioned.

For the past whole week, he was in Saudi, having 41 degree Celsius heat, busy with meetings, having hard time reaching his family on phone, heartrending watching death tolls and cyclone victims facing disease and starvation.

He was offered some amount of personal donations kindly by his colleagues. But they all have concern. They heard something (Mr. YL did not tell them anything. He has a family, remember?) and had concern that the money they donate may not arrive to the victims. They thought Burmese regime may tax (cut) on the donation money. Mr. YL laughed at them and told them that only stupid and boorish government would do such thing.
He further told them that his regime people are not egocentric people (aren't they?).

Other colleagues of him heard different rumour. They heard that international helpers were stopped by authority to go into the country to do some volunteer works.
Frustrated Mr. YL shouted, "C'mon! People! They are not ruthless! They value the humanity".

We already have logistical bottlenecks, poor infrastructure, and many restrictions to meet everywhere(to make sure everything’s in order, Mr. YL reckon).

He was saying himself, "We'd better don't have stupid people to prevent this disaster from becoming even more serious".
